Memorial Day Safety

May 21, 2022

Just like we do with St. Patrick’s Day, we want to ensure people are celebrating safely. Memorial Day is not any different, we, except it’s normally warmer out! For those in recovery, going to a BBQ with friends or family can be hard. They could be tempted or resort to times they had at past events and recall how much fun they had, before they were in recovery. Ensuring that hosts have non-alcoholic drinks and support those who are trying to remain obstinate is so important! It also shows kids that adults can have just as much fun without alcohol. Annual Holiday’s like this are also a good reminder to keep alcohol away from minors and for adults to monitor things while more kids might be visiting.
