Join us for this family-friendly event dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding behavioral health. Our goal is to raise awareness and foster understanding in our community about substance use and mental health disorders—while spreading the powerful message that prevention is possible, treatment works, and recovery is real.
Enjoy fun activities for all ages, including face painting and a bounce house for the kids! After the race, stick around for music, food, a Memorial Wall, and much more.
Form a team or go solo—either way, you’re supporting a great cause! Wear white, get creative, and have fun!

National Prevention Week (NPW) is all about bringing communities together to raise awareness, promote evidence-based strategies for preventing substance misuse and supporting mental health, and building strong partnerships with public health organizations. It’s also a time to share valuable prevention resources that can make a real difference.
Prevention works—and your voice matters! This May, be part of SAMHSA’s National Prevention Week by sharing what prevention means to you using #NationalPreventionWeek25 and #MyPreventionStory.
Let’s keep the momentum going and shine a light on the impact of prevention through personal stories and shared experiences.
Black Balloon Day
Happening on March 6, 2025 | Across all of our clinics and locations!
Each year on March 6th, we come together to honor and remember the lives lost to overdose. Black Balloon Day is a time for reflection, awareness, and support for those impacted by substance use.
This year, we will begin honoring those lives lost on March 3rd, because one day is not enough to fully recognize the impact of overdose and substance use on our communities, families, and social circles.
Throughout Cattaraugus, Chemung, Livingston, and Tioga counties, we are partnering with businesses and organizations to display black balloons, distribute printed handouts, and provide paper balloons for those who wish to honor loved ones lost to Substance Use Disorder.
We invite you to join us in remembrance and awareness. 🖤
